New Perspective

I feel the salty waves come in
I feel them crash against my skin
And I smile as I respire because I know they'll never win

Stop there and let me correct it
I wanna live a life from a new perspective
You come along because I love your face
And I'll admire your expensive taste

Update

Journal Entry: Sun Oct 25, 2009, 5:15 PM
So I finally got around to uploading some of the pictures I took in Argentina during Spring Break. Took me about 6 months, but I did it.
AND I also uploaded my first portraiture photos! I'm really happy with how those came out and will hopefully be doing more from now on.

The dream was always running ahead of me. To catch up, to live for a moment in unison with it, that was the miracle. (Anais Nin)

thank you again ..... lets see first of all that apple looks like it was harder to draw
than it really was and i'm absolutely sure you have plenty of skills just waiting for you
to figure out they are there. im still learning myself but two things that help me is
trying to always forget about what it is im drawing because then i just end up drawing what i think the subject should look like. i try to just focus on just lines and shapes. i probably made that sound more confusing than i had to. and secondly a piece for me is never really done. more detail can always be added. have you ever heard of the book "drawing on the right side of the brain" its really good and its full of these really cool tips on how to look at things in a way that translates better on paper. i definitely recommend it, its crazy helpful. and you dont have to read it all at once.
are you drawing from a photo by any chance?
oh one last thing dont forget that every one creates a whole bunch of shitty stuff right along with the things that you and i think are amazing. dont let something that comes out crappy trick you into thinking that you dont have talent.
sorry i rambled ..... i probably gave you a little more than you asked for lol
good luck
:iconmakeyourchoice:
Not at all, it was all quite helpful
Don't worry, you weren't as confusing as you thought, you totally made sense
And I'll definitely look for that book. I live in Mexico and I have a feeling they won't have it here, but I'll get a friend to bring it down for me next time someone goes to the states or comes visit from
But no, I'm not allowed to draw from a picture. I have to create a still-life set up and draw from that
Thanks a lot!
